🌱 Inspiring International Collaboration🌍🍇

On January 14-15, 2025, the Digital Agriculture Group of Hochschule Geisenheim University had the pleasure of hosting a delegation from the University of Reading. This empowering exchange brought together leading academics from both institutions to discuss innovative research and potential joint projects in the fields of viticulture, agrophotovoltaics, and sustainable agriculture.

The first day was dedicated to introductions, with both universities presenting their research expertise and exploring areas for collaboration. Discussions highlighted opportunities for advancing precision farming and climate-resilient agricultural practices. A tour of Geisenheim's advanced facilities, including agrophotovoltaic system and the agricultural engineering research hall, showcased the university's cutting-edge work in these areas.

On the second day, the collaboration deepened with detailed conversations around funding opportunities, emphasizing innovative solutions for sustainable food systems and adoption of technologies. The visit concluded with a cultural experience at the University's Wine Cellar and then at @Eberbach Abbey, offering the delegation a deeper experience of the rich viticultural heritage of the Rheingau region.

This visit exemplifies the power of international partnerships in addressing global challenges through shared expertise and innovation.
